On August 7, 2010, the Henry and Kiechle families gathered in North Carolina for a most joyous occasion: the marriage of David to beautiful (in every sense of the word) Amelia. It is safe to say that all our friends and acquaintances knew about this well in advance. What we failed to consider is that many people kept checking our web site for wedding pictures starting in mid-August. Since none were being posted, we began to receive tentatively phrased email messages. Did the wedding take place as planned? Was everything OK? Clearly, we had to do something to reassure the worriers. The truth is: things were not merely OK, they were wonderful from the rehearsal to the end of the reception. Thanks largely to Tom and Barbara Henry's impeccable planning, everything was just perfect.
Originally, I had not planned to publish a page about the wedding for the very simple reason that I did not take a single photograph on August 7! I managed to sneak my little Panasonic into the rehearsal on August 6, but I did not take it with me on the day of the wedding. I have, however, managed to obtain a sizeable collection of photo files, such as all pictures taken by the official photographers, Michael's Memories, and a beautiful set of images taken by our cousin Michaele Olenick. Other people contributed as well, but the photos on this page were all taken from these two collections.
Thanks for stopping by, celebrating with us, and sharing the joy of the beautiful bride and the handsome groom (even if we say so ourselves)!
