In the evening of Friday, August 4, 2006, Michaele (there may be spelling errors on this web site, but this is not one of them!) and Monty took Vicki and Daniel for a walk through Manhattan's Riverside Park. Michaele and Monty are as New York as they come (this comment is intended as high praise, indeed!), and therefore the perfect tour guides. Riverside park is a narrow strip of land, 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) long, that extends from 72nd Street to 158th Street. In the east, it is bordered by Riverside Drive, in the west by the Hudson River. In spite of the evening hour, it was still rather hot and humid, so we limited our stroll to the southern portion of the park. We will definitely have to go back and see more of it the next time we are in New York. Just look at these images! Isn't it amazing to think that one is but a few steps away from the hustle and bustle of one of the world's busiest and most exciting cities?
