On Sunday, August 6, 2006, Vicki and Daniel walked down Broadway from their hotel on West 76th Street to Battery Park on the southern tip of Manhattan and back north on Pearl Street to the South Street Seaport on the East River. As Broadway makes its way south while at the same time moving from the west to the east side of town, one is treated to constantly changing scenery. Building styles vary as much as the neighborhoods, the stores, and the people. This page is an attempt to capture a tiny portion of the variety Broadway offers. It goes without saying that any such attempt can only be a feeble approximation, for nothing can substitute for walking on Broadway. There's a great deal more to it than the theater district. Enjoy your stroll down one of the word's most famous streets!
