On March 22, 2018, we visited the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia, a companion facility to the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. It is named after Steven F. Udvar-Házy. I expected a great deal of this visit, and even so, the exhibit exceeded my wildest expectations.
One can admire a replica of the Wright Model A, an iconic WW I Sopwith Camel, the most famous B-29 Superfortress of them all, a Boeing 367-80 Jet Transport, arguably the granddaddy of any modern passenger jet, an Air France Concorde, an SR-71A Blackbird, a space shuttle... and all under one roof! Sadly, we did not have enough time, so we need to go back. I also want to see the museum's original site in Washington.
