A Fourth Photo Sampler

After a hectic travel schedule during the first seven months of last year, 2025 is starting off slower. Consequently, I am deprived of my most promising source of photos for this website: images taken during recent trips. As a result, I'm limited to redoing previously published pages or creating samplers, which are collections of unrelated images that I particularly like for various reasons.

The collection presented here spans nearly five decades, from July 1976 to July 2024. I was 22 years old when I took the first photograph on this page and 70 when I captured the last one. As I remember taking each of these pictures, you can imagine the many memories that are attached to this collection! The photographs were taken using eight different cameras, which are listed in the following table:

Many of these photographs have already been published on this website, although some have not. Technical details are provided for each image, including the camera make and model, focal length, ISO value, shutter speed, aperture, and, when used, exposure compensation in stops. As with the other photo samplers I previously published, all focal lengths are provided in 35mm equivalent values. Of the digital cameras used, only the Nikon D750 is a full-frame camera; all others have APS-C sensors with a crop factor of 1.5. I hope you enjoy this virtual roll of 36!
