Yesterday afternoon, we parked the car at Foster’s on Airport Road in Chapel Hill where we were practically forced to indulge in a tasty brunch: after all, parking is only for customers! We then followed the Bolin Creek Trail, a lovely walk with plenty of welcome shade. Looking at the picture, it is not at all obvious that one is in town! Near the end of the trail, we climbed the steps to the Caffé Driade to replenish the liquid we had lost en route. On our walk, I came across a traffic sign I had never seen before; I suppose it means that the path gets slippery for bicycles, the only vehicles allowed on the trail. If anyone has a better explanation, I’d be interested to hear it. Eric’s suggestion that it warns riders of snakes attacking their bikes doesn’t seem plausible to me...
